Today’s WORD SURGE is enjoy—to joy again.
Set hopes…on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy (See 1 Timothy 6:17).
You and I were meant to enjoy (joy in) life. What about you, my friend—are you enjoying life in good rhythms of rest—work—play routines? What are healthy life-rhythms you can establish?
God created us for daily rhythms and routines which are healthy for establishing a life-balance for our overall living. Since the Lord created us for rest—work—play routines, let’s make plans toward dressing in or redressing in this garment and enjoying it.
Someone asked Helen Keller, “Isn’t it hard to live blind?” She responded, “It would be if I had no vision.” Living to joy in life consists of living with vision for relationships and healthy life-routines. Let’s establish a life of vision and enjoy it. Daily rhythms/routines are healthy for overall living: God created us to rest, work, and play. Rest—Work—Play Routines create balance. Since the Lord created us for rest—work—play rhythms, we are responsible for creating those healthy routines. Psalm 37:5-8, a song of David may help with these rhythms as we awake each day:
· Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him.
· Be still before the Lord.
· Wait patiently for him.
· Refrain from anger; Forsake wrath.
· Fret not yourself; it tends only to evil.
Notice the Lord’s part:
· He will act.
· He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the perfect time.
The late Jack Frost said, “When we wait, God acts—when we act, God waits.”
Are you willing to wait and watch God move into action? What will waiting look like for you? How will waiting benefit you and others?
