Surprises Appear
Try asking, trusting, and waiting on the Lord about the little things – you may find surprises waiting for you. Our three-year old granddaughter, Emily Kate, gets a thrill out of surprising others as she hides from them to appear from a hidden area and yell, “urprise,” meaning surprise as she “urprised” me recently from behind the chair. Jesus may want to “urprise” you with His involvement in your life. He is a present God, who wants to be present in our everyday lives.
Surprises When We Ask
Prayer is asking for, trusting in, and waiting on our Heavenly Father:
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened” (Luke 11:9-10 ESV).
Surprises When We Wait
It is ok to ask, trust, and wait on your heavenly Father for something specific. I am always asking Him for specific solutions, resolutions, and personal needs for family, friends, and myself. Pray, even for the little things that seem unimportant to others. If it is important to you, it’s important to the Lord.
What is one area you are asking for and trusting the Lord in? _____________________
