Day Thirty: January 30 – Today’s Tasting: Job 38-40:5 – The Lord answered Job, “You question my wisdom with ignorance,” then, with a plethora of questions stunned Job:
- Where were you
- Who determined
- Have you ever
- Do you realize
- Can you
- Who provides
- Do you know
- Who gives
- Is it your wisdom
- Is it at your command
- Do you still want to argue with the Almighty
- Do you have the answers
Job replied, I am nothing—how could I ever find the answers? I will cover my mouth with my hand. I have said too much already, I have nothing more to say.
Today’s Nourishment: Have you ever been stunned to silence? Job, stunned to silence, by the plethora of questions the Lord asked, decided that he had nothing else to say. Sometimes, that seems the state the Lord wants us, complete silence. Try sitting in silence, waiting on God. He may reveal Himself in a special way.
Sit in silence for three minutes. Try this for three days, then, increase for another three minutes until you are up to ten minutes. You will be amazed at how your stress level decreases and your awareness of His presence increases.
