To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing ~ Martin Luther
SIGHT (Setting Intentional God Honoring Time) Prayer
Prayer is the Believer’s privilege. Because of Christ, we may communicate with our Heavenly Father. Jesus provided the model prayer. The Lord’s Prayer honors God and others as we surrender ourselves to Him. We may call Him Father and interact with our God to honor Him and others along with surrendering ourselves to Him daily.
I find the model prayer in Matthew 6:5-15 satisfying in the Jewish New Testament Commentary. David H. Stern states that it translates as follows:
“Our Father, in heaven, may the world see who you are by the way we live.”
The world may see our Heavenly Father by the way we live with His nature, His character, His power, and His attitudes in and through us. We carry God’s presence and name with us wherever we go.
How will you carry His name and presence in a way that glorifies and honors His name today?
Set your sights on the realities of heaven (Colossians 3:1 NLT).
For we aim at what is honorable not only in the Lord’s sight but also in the sight of man (2 Corinthians 8:21 ESV).
Stay connected with Christ in your prayer life. I wanted to share some additional excerpts from my latest project.
