Today’s Tasting: Daniel 10-12
Daniel 10: Daniel had a vision that unveiled times of war and great hardship in the future. It caused him to be in mourning for twenty-one days. He saw a vision of a man dressed in linen clothing with a belt of pure gold. He told Daniel of things that would happen to his people in the future.
Daniel 11: The future is furthered explained concerning the kings of the north and south. These kings will plot against each other and soon come to their own end at the set time. The kings of the south will marry their daughters to the kings of the north in an effort to make an alliance, but it will not last.
Daniel 12: The messenger instructed Daniel to keep this prophecy a secret. Many will be purified, cleansed, and refined by these trials. However, the wicked will continue in their wickedness, and none of them will understand. Only those who are wise by His Spirit may understand the interpretation.
Today’s Nourishment: The messenger sent to Daniel confirmed his vision with details of future events to occur among his people. God’s word is our message from Him:
It tells the things we should do and the things we should not do.
It warns us of the punishments should we decide to go our own way instead of God’s way.
God has many messengers today, from young and old, from educated and uneducated, and from poor and rich. We must heed His message and live a life that is pleasing to Him. There will be times in our lives where we are tested and we may even fail the test, but thank God it’s not over until He says so! Take time out of your life now to see what is God saying to you.
Father, I thank You for Your messages. I thank You that You keep sending them until I finally pay attention and get it. Thank You for not giving up on me or throwing me away. Help me to settle down long enough to hear what You are saying to me through whatever means You want to use. Give me an attentive ear and a receptive heart. I don’t want to miss anything You have to say to me or my family. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Wherever you are right now, just take a minute a stop completely. Now close your eyes for 10 seconds and breathe slowly. Open your eyes. What do you see? What do you hear? God is speaking to you right where you are. Ask God to give you understanding and clarity of what you just experienced. Write it down and follow whatever instructions He has given you quickly, unless He gave you a time frame to do it in. Don’t be slow in doing it. Your blessings are in your obedience.
Share your experience with us.
