Today’s Tasting: Psalm 50, 53, 65, 70
“Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High. Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.” (Psalms 50:14-15 NLT).
Today’s Nourishment: It was a bit of a heavy hit what God asked for in these verses. He made it very clear that there was nothing wrong with the sacrifices that his people offered up to him. They sacrificed their best animals, the best of their harvest, the best of everything. But what God really wanted was for them to thankful. Their thankfulness and their gratefulness is what he really wanted them to offer up to him in sacrifice. He said make THANKFULNESS your sacrifice to God. I truly believe he asks this of us today. God is not interested in our “Ta-da”! Now don’t get me wrong, I think it’s great when we keep God’s house clean and when we come in our “Sunday best”, when we want to sing and play our best songs. I believe all of those things means a lot to God as long as it’s coming from the heart to honor Him.
In the end however, He repeatedly reminds us to live thankful and to praise him. He promises us that if we do this, when we call on him he will help us and in return we once again we will give him praise for the victories that have been won!
“But giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me. If you keep to my path, I will reveal to you the salvation of God.” (Psalms 50:23 NLT).

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL OUR MOMS!
My Mom is with Jesus and I miss her dearly! She would love knowing that we are celebrating the dedication of our two-month old grandson, Owen, today! Love you, Mother!
Mother’s Day is special and like you Carolyn my mother is with Jesus. Oh how I wish she was here to honor her. So today I honor God in thankfulness for her because I’m who I am in Christ because of her example and love for The Lord. Thank You Jesus!!!
