Our relationship with two, the Word and the Spirit, keep us walking in the right direction. BETH – the second symbol of the Hebrew alphabet means duality, tent, house, or family. BETH is the numeric for two. The Lord created us with two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, two hands, and multiple taste buds to communicate with the world around us, as well as to communicate with the Lord. Two forms a family – man and woman create a family to glorify the Lord. Together by “fixing our eyes” on Jesus Christ and His Word make a home. These eight verses describe the storing up of God’s Word in our hearts, which keeps and protects us from sinning. Putting His Word in our head and heart generates the words we speak with our lips and the life we live. He loves us enough to provide a way of life. Meditate on Psalm 119:9-16.

9 How can a young man keep his way pure?
By guarding it according to your word.
10 With my whole heart I seek you;
let me not wander from your commandments!
11 I have stored up your word in my heart,
that I might not sin against you.
12 Blessed are you, O Lord;
teach me your statutes!
13 With my lips I declare
all the rules of your mouth.
14 In the way of your testimonies I delight
as much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate on your precepts
and fix my eyes on your ways.
16 I will delight in your statutes;
I will not forget your word.
How may you keep your life’s direction clear and pure?
How has the Word and the Spirit clarified His ways to you?
