Day Fifty-nine: February 28: Today’s Tasting – Numbers 4-5: Aaron and his sons disassembled the inner curtain and covered the Ark of the Covenant with it. They covered the inner curtain with leather. They carried the Ark with the poles in place. The priests prepared and carried each of the furnishings of the Tabernacle to the specs, which the Lord established. They carried the Ark, the Table, and other furnishings with poles or on carrying frames made for the poles.
Another clan from Aaron carried the loads. Each man accepted his assigned task and their determined load, as they set out for their journey.
Today’s Nourishment: Each one in the Levite Tribe accepted their assigned task and carried their determined load. We function this same way in the Church. The Lord gives the gifts to people to build His Kingdom. We each accept our assigned task, which the Lord determines, to carry our load to do the work of the ministry.
“For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them…”Romans 12:4-6a.
“Each has his own gift from God, one of one kind and one of another,” 1 Corinthians 7:7.
“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone,” 1 Corinthians 14:4-6.
- What is your assigned task from the Lord?
- How have you accepted the tasks, which He has given?
- What gifts has the Lord provided you?
- How do you carry your load of work in the Church?
