Today’s Tasting: 1 Peter 1(NLT)
Verse 7: These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world. (1 Peter 1:7 NLT)
Today’s Nourishment: While reading this chapter, I couldn’t help but break out into a song that I sang in church growing up. “ Please be patient with me God is not through with me yet; Please be patient with me God is not through with me yet. When God gets through with me, When God gets through with me, I shall come forth as pure gold.”
In this life, yes, even as believers, we will have trials and we will go through things, there will be trials and hard times, but we must keep the faith and hold on. We must continue to be obedient and live holy, just as He is holy and not lose hope…not lose faith, but in those hard times, put our faith to work. Peter tells us here that trials show that our faith is genuine and when our faith remains strong through every test and every trial, God is glorified and He rewards us greatly.
Let’s keep the faith! http://thebiblefeastblog.com
