Today’s Tasting: Job:14-16 MSG
14: “Too few days, too many troubles”; Job laments and questions God for His current life’s challenges. He wants to die and for God to end it all. He believes God has caused both him and all mankind to live in pain all the days of their lives. He’s in a real mess!
15: Jobs’ friends are no help at all. They are making matters worse by accusing Job of evil secrets, sin and arrogance. They badger him when he is down and make a fool of him. Their words hurt and are painful.
Job defends himself against their accusations but continues to question God as to why he is going through such torment when he has always tried to be righteous before God. He believes, surely, there is someone in heaven to speak up for him; someone that could act as his advocate and show God that he has not been evil and arrogant. He believes even then, that right will win out and his innocence will prevail. Job hopes for and believes in a Savior.
Today’s Nourishment: Life is rarely fair and sometimes it seems completely unfair! Sure, there are situations we create for ourselves and possibly we deserve the result. However, the situation, which you face at the moment, the pain you endure right now, may not have been your fault. Whether it was or whether it wasn’t, STOP punishing yourself.
Good News Flash: There really is Hope for you and a way out, no matter the situation, no matter your part in creating it. He is a present God who desires to live in our present circumstances.
Job hoped for a savior to represent him in heaven; someone to speak on his behalf. You can hold to that same hope because we have an advocate in heaven, who stands before God and prays for you. Yes, He prays for you!. He is Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He’s waiting for you to believe.
“Heavenly Father I come before you to thank you for your love and forgiveness. I’m in a tight place and I need your help, right away. Direct my thoughts and my steps and lead me in the way that I should go. I esteem you Lord Jesus and surrender to you right now. I believe! In your holy name I pray, Amen.”
We would love to hear from you. Add your comments below: From what are you trusting Jesus to deliver you?
We will pray with you to stand in His grace as you gain victory over it, through Him.

I enjoyed this word today how awesome is it that we can hold to that same hope knowing no matter what we are going through our Savior is sitting on the right hand of God the Father standing in the gap for us. He is truly for us not against us ready and waiting for our hearts door to let Him in and do the great work He has planned for us. A Savior rescues. Put your hope in Him and let Him rescue you today.
June, I want to praise God that Jesus is praying for me, which builds my hope. Thank You, Lord!
June, thank you for this word. I have stepped out on faith in a few areas in my life this year and though at the time it sounded really great, I, sometimes have wondered and questioned if I did the right thing because of the current circumstances, but I know I have to hold fast to the what God told me to do even when things are uncomfortable for a moment.
