Day 48 – February 17
Today’s Tasting: Leviticus 14-15: These two chapters describe the rules for cleansing a person who had skin diseases or bodily discharges, and for cleansing contaminated houses. Anyone touching a person who had been declared unclean was also unclean. They had to wash their clothes and bathe in water. They were declared unclean until evening. Any items that an unclean person touched were declared unclean and had to be washed or broken. Unclean persons were required to perform the rituals for cleansing for seven days, and on the eighth day to offer a sacrifice in order to be ceremonially clean.
Today’s Nourishment: Aren’t you glad that God doesn’t require you to live under the Mosaic law? He knew the law would be too difficult for us to follow so instead He gave us grace. He allowed His Son to be the ultimate sacrifice so that we would no longer have to offer sacrifices to Him. His blood makes us ceremonially clean. The evil one, Satan, tries to make us feel defiled when we sin but we should always remember that as followers of Jesus Christ we have been washed in the blood of the Lamb. God’s gift of grace is free, and it is available to each one of us.
Prayer: Father, I thank you that we no longer live under the law but we are covered by grace! I accept Your free gift of grace. Help me to live my life as a blood-bought believer. Thank You for Your grace! In the precious name of Jesus I pray, Amen!
How has knowing His grace changed you?
Tomorrow’s Delight: Leviticus 16-18
Chantea Williams
Amen! So thankful for God’s gift of grace. I pray that I never ever take God’s grace for granted and that I always always live for Him no matter what!
I too am so glad that I’ve been washed in the blood of the lamb. Thank You Father for grace!
I say amen also! Thank you, Lord, for your grace. His grace will never lose its power!
