Today’s Tasting: Genesis 25-26
Before he died, Abraham gave all he owned to his son, Isaac. He gave gifts to the sons of his concubines and sent them away from Isaac. Abraham lived 175 years then Isaac and Ishmael buried their father.
Isaac prayed for his barren wife, Rebekah, and she became pregnant with twins. She inquired of the Lord why her babies struggled within her. The Lord told her they would be two rival nations. The older son, Esau, would serve the younger son, Jacob. Esau, a skilled hunter, sold his birthright to his younger brother, Jacob, for some food because he was exhausted and hungry. Because of a severe famine Isaac moved to Gerar, where Abimelech, king of the Philistines, lived. As Isaac prospered, the Philistines began to envy him and Abimelech asked Isaac to leave because he had become too powerful and rich. Isaac moved to the Gerar Valley and began to open up the wells his father had dug, which the Philistines had filled with dirt, but the local shepherds claimed them. His servants dug again and this time no one claimed the well. Isaac called this well Rehoboth, because God had made room for them. Then Abimelech realized that God was with Isaac and made a treaty with him.
Today’s Nourishment: The Lord seems to say, “There is still room for you. I know you are going through trying times and you feel like giving up, but keep going. I still have blessings for you. I know you have prayed repeatedly and it seems like your prayers are unheard, but pray again. I will answer your prayers. There is still room at the cross to place your sins. It will never be too crowded for you. There is still room in My arms for you. Run to me. No matter what you go through or what you have done there will always be room for you. Don’t give up because the enemy is fighting you. That’s his job. Trust Me, believe in Me and watch Me work on your behalf. There is still room for you. I love you with an everlasting love that will always make room for you. Read, taste, and digest My word and you will see the room. Activate My Word in your life and you will always live at the place of Rehoboth.”
Prayer for today: Father, help me to know that there will always be room for me. I choose not to give up even when I get weary. I choose not to believe the lies of the enemy. I will wait for You to make room for me. I will trust You to make room for me. I believe that You will make room for me. In the wonderful name of Jesus I pray, amen!
Has God made room for you? If He did, were you hesitant to accept the room that He made for you? Please share with us about how God made room for you. Tell us what made you feel that way. If you are still waiting for God to make room for you, please let us know and we will pray with and for you.

Chantea, I thank God that He made room for me. When He makes room, we don’t feel crowded, but we feel loved and accepted. Praise Him!
Carolyn, I too am thankful that our Father always has room for us. He is a God of more than enough. I’m learning to not get weary but to wait on Him. When He answers our prayers it’s always, always right on time. Thank you Lord!
So glad God makes room for us!
Without God making room for me, I don’t even want to think about where I would be.
Amazing that God has more than enough room to incorporate each of us at the same time.
