Today’s Tasting: 2 Kings 14 & 2 Chronicles 25
Today’s reading continue the tellings of who was king and what kind of king they were with relation to serving the Lord. Like many before him, Amaziah started out doing right in the Lord’s sight but in the end he turned away from the Lord.
Today’s Nourishment:
The scripture above refers to God’s faithfulness in response to our lack of faith in Him. Throughout the Old Testament we are told about the unfaithfulness of the Israelites, yet regardless of what they did to turn away from God his faithfulness never waivered.
If God could remain faithful to the Israelites despite all they did to reject him, how hard is it to believe that he will remain faithful to us through our trials and sinful behaviors?
We are blessed to have a merciful God who loves us so much that he sent his son to die for us so our sins could be forgiven. Our salvation through Jesus Christ is the ultimate act of faithfulness from God…all we have to do is accept it.
Tomorrow’s Delight: Jonah
