June 6, 2015 by Carolyn Marlowe 1 Comment

Today’s Tasting: Proverbs 13–15

Proverbs 14:1—The wise woman builds her house…

Today’s Nourishment: Ways a Wise Woman Builds Her Home

  • She guards her mouth
  • She hates falsehood
  • She acts with knowledge
  • She regards reproof
  • She walks with wise women
  • She will be rewarded with prosperity
  • She loves her son and disciplines him diligently
  • She fears the Lord
  • She will not lie
  • She leaves the presence of a fool
  • She will flourish
  • She will be satisfied
  • She considers her steps
  • She is cautious
  • She turns away from evil
  • She seeks and is crowned with knowledge
  • She is gracious to the poor and needy
  • She will profit in her labor
  • She is slow to anger
  • She has a tranquil heart
  • She has gentle answers
  • She has a soothing tongue
  • She pursues righteousness
  • She prays
  • She has a joyful heart and a cheerful face
  • She has consultations with many counselors
  • She has a timely word
  • She has pleasant words
  • She ponders how to answer
  • She is humble

Take some time to think about these qualities. Which of them is God speaking to your spirit about? Which do you already do, and which do you need to work on?

I pray, but I need to work on having soothing answers. It amazes me at how much God talks about our words and our speech. Review the above list to determine how many times these three chapters mention words and speech. Let’s build our homes, ladies.

How will you build your house?

Good Kelly, I want to build a home that is Christ centered, filled with love and grace and integrity. I’ve always prayed that God would make our home a haven and that those who enter feel the Presence of God and are blessed coming in and blessed going out. Yes our words and speech are vital to our having joy and peace and a happier life not to count what they do for others.
