Today’s Tasting: Psalms 5, 38, 41-42
Our Psalms today are about the trials the writers were facing and their prayers to God for forgiveness and redemption.
In Psalm 5, the writing is asking God to lead him in his righteousness. He recognizes that he is week and needs God’s guidance.
Psalms 38, 41, and 42 reflect the writer’s remorse over his weakness to sin and like Psalm 5, he is asking for God’s guidance.
Today’s Nourishment: How often do you turn yourself completely over to God for guidance and strength? Often times we find ourselves struggling with the challenges of life and our humanness wants to negotiate with God.
“God, if you will do ___________, I will do _____________”
or
“God, if you will change ______________ circumstances, I will _____________”
God however, doesn’t negotiate. He wants us to have complete faith in him and trust in plan for our lives. This can be extremely hard at times. We want to feel as if we are in control and God is just there to help us; the reality however is that God is in control and we should be there to help Him.
My encouragement for you today is to let go of those things that cause you anxiety and worry. Turn them over to God and trust in his love for you.
What’s weighing heavy on your heart today?
How can you turn it over to God and trust in his plan?
Tomorrow’s Delight: 2 Samuel 22-23

Monica, I asked the Lord, “What responsibilities cause me anxiety and worry?” I immediately thought of the everyday cares of life, “the small things,” are what weighs heavy for me lots of times. Therefore, “Lord, I turn over the everyday cares of life today and I trust you in “the small things.”
Thank you Monica for this word that I desperately needed to hear. I’m about a week behind and read this on the 25th. I realize that God is very much in control and with Him guiding my heart and life, I know I can get through a difficult time right now. Thank You Father that You Oh Lord are already ahead of me!
