The following quote and image was shared by my friend, Karyl Gaehring. It sparked some things in my mind and heart to reflect upon. I pray it sparks some things in your mind to bring to the Light:

“God means what He says, and backs every word!!! “So shall My Word be which goes out of My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall certainly do what I sent it to do.” Isaiah 55:11; Ephesians 5:11”

In the Bible, light and darkness contrasts with each other. Light equates with God’s holiness, while darkness associates itself with evil. There is never an in-between. Yet, darkness and Light are not equal. Light always penetrates darkness.
According to Bible Study tools, “The Bible entertains no thought that darkness is equal in power to God’s light. God is the absolute Sovereign who rules over the darkness and the powers of evil.”
Let’s look at some simple ways to bring darkness to Light:
- When we read the Bible to see Jesus, we are bringing darkness to Light in our lives.
So each time you open your Bible to read, ask His Spirit to illuminate Jesus to you. Also, ask how to apply that scripture to your life. You will be amazed at how you see scripture in a different way.
- When we speak life to others, we are bringing darkness to Light.
In your conversations, remember that whatever you speak is like light, it travels forever. Your words are sound that keep traveling. So, today, speak words that will travel with light!
- When we confess any darkness looming in our lives to Jesus, we are bringing darkness to Light.
The Lord is ready to penetrate darkness with His Light and bring forgiveness and redemption to you and me. He is already aware of any darkness looming in our lives. When we confess that darkness to Him, we expose it to the Light of Christ. Then, He radiates His love and power into that darkness to help us live in His forgiving love and redemption.
What about you my friend? Are you bringing darkness to Light around you? By reading the Bible with new light. By speaking life to friends, family, and the people in your world? By confessing darkness looming and paralyzing you?
Would you ask Him right now, “Lord, would you help me bring darkness to Light when I read your Word, when I speak to others, and when you bring your conviction to expose darkness in me?”
By bringing darkness to Light in these ways, you and I may spark fires of revival in you and those around you. Please get Releasing Revival by Karyl Gaehring to find more ways to bring darkness to light.
