Christianity is living in a vital relationship with the Living and only True God through Jesus Christ by His Spirit.
The Bible stands as the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. The Holy Spirit inspired the writers of the Old and New Testaments pointing to Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.
God is One God eternally revealed to the world in the Father, the Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. By Him were all things created. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit were present at Creation and hold all things together. He is a triune being, meaning He is Father; He is Son; He is Holy Spirit; One God – three persons.
He is Father: God, the Father, is Creator of all living people, animals, creatures, and things. The Father sent His Son, Jesus Christ to redeem all of mankind.
He is Son! Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life on this earth, performed many undeniable miracles, was crucified for our sins, buried and was raised from the dead for our justification. By the name of Jesus Christ, and His name only, can mankind be saved. Jesus Christ sits at the Right Hand of the Father and will return personally in power and glory to receive His Church unto Himself.
He is Holy Spirit! Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and is our Advocate, Comforter, Equipper, Spirit of Truth, sent by the Father to be with us in Spirit. While many spirits exist, only one Holy Spirit is God. He is the third person in the Godhead. The multi-faceted work of the Holy Spirit brings conviction of sin, revelation of the truth of the Gospel of Christ, drawing of the sinner to God, adoption of mankind into the Body of Christ through regeneration, and the distribution and administration of the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s life. Jesus Christ is the “baptizer with the Holy Spirit” for empowering the Believer [Church] within to live the Christian life, and empowering the Believer upon to share his or her faith story with others.
Humans are sinful by nature and will perish without the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as revealed in His Gospel. God’s desire is for no one to perish, but that all would come to this saving knowledge through the preaching of the Gospel to a lost and hopeless world.
Salvation is a work of grace through faith for all who repent and believe Jesus is the Son of God and the only way for redemption.
The Local Church is a place where believers gather together for edification, teaching from the Word of God, and ministry to and through each other according to their spiritual gifts. The local church provides identity to its members as well as encouragement, interdependence, fellowship, correction, and discipline.
The Mission of the Church is to preach the gospel to the world and bring friends and family, acquaintances and enemies, and strangers and ungodly to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them all things according to Christianity.
Baptism was and continues to be a common event within the Jewish culture. For Believer, according to scripture, we may experience three baptisms:
- Baptism into Christ (forgiveness of sins – 1 Corinthians 12:13).
- Baptism in water (symbolic of death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ; profession to the world, life is hidden in Christ) – Colossians 2:11-13).
- Baptism in Holy Spirit is to minister the gospel with boldness (John 1:29-33; 7:37-39; Acts 2:37-37).
The Lord’s Table is a vital place of fellowship, atonement for the sin of the world, and healing for spirit, soul, and body for the Believer. At this Table, we remember the blood of Christ was poured out and His body was broken, both, for our healing of the whole person. He was raised from the dead and is seated at the right hand of God.
