Once a week, you need to schedule some time to enjoy life and have fun with family and friends, which promotes a healthy life. I returned last night from visiting my one year old granddaughter, Emily Kate. She lives about one-hundred miles from her Poppy and me (Gigi). Approximately two weeks had past since we saw her, but it seemed like two months. I carved out some time to visit with Emily Kate, and my daughter, Brooke and son-in-law, Mike.
The day after I arrived, Brooke, Emily Kate, and I headed out to an indoor playground where Emily Kate climbed and crawled, and I lifted her to help her slide on a sliding play bridge. While she slid repeatedly on the play bridge, I realized that we were also building a bridge to connect to one another. Emily Kate laughed and always reached for me to pick her up and set her on the top of the bridge to slide again.
Joy and fun with family and friends builds bridges that help us connect with others to fulfill our sense of belonging. Build bridges today. Carve some time for Friday Fun with Family and Friends. Share you plans:
