Day Thirty-three: February 2: Today’s Tasting: Exodus 4:18-7:13: Moses assignment from the Lord, “go to Pharaoh and perform all the miracles I have empowered you to do. Command him to let you go so that my people can worship me,” (paraphrase mine). “Lazy, lazy,” Pharaoh replied. “You take the excuse to worship, because you want to escape from your work that I have given you. Pharaoh questioned this God of the Hebrews and just who is he? “God said to Moses, ‘I am the LORD – God Almighty:”
- I will bring you out…
- I will deliver you from…
- I will redeem you…
- I will take you as mine
- I will be your God; you will know that I brought you out from Egyptian slavery
Israel refused to listen to Moses because of discouragement. Moses cried out to the Lord, “I can’t go before Pharaoh and speak.” The Lord gave Moses the words to give to Aaron and the miracles to perform. Aaron spoke the words to Pharaoh and performed the miracles, but Pharaoh refused to listen and believe.
Today’s Nourishment: The Lord still speaks His I will’s to us:
- I will bring you out
- I will deliver you
- I will redeem you
- I will take you as mine
- I will be your God
Lord, thank you that you bring us out, you deliver us, and you redeem us from destruction. You want to take me as yours and be my God. I yield to you to become yours and you as mine.
Are you His; Is He yours?
